48 inch long box options
A 48 inch long cardboard box works best as a two-piece telescoping set. You get an inner box and a slightly larger outer box, so you can slide them together to match the length of your product and close the gap.
If your item does not match a stock size, we make custom corrugated boxes to your exact inside dimensions. Custom runs start at 100 pieces and standard lead times are 7 to 14 business days.

Do you stock a true 48 inch long box?
Yes. Telescoping sets are stocked in 4x4x48, 6x6x48, 8x8x48 and 10x10x48 inner sizes, with matching outer boxes. A 6x6x72 set is also available for longer items.
What is the difference between the inner and outer box?
Telescoping boxes come in two pieces. The outer box is slightly wider, for example 6 1/2" x 6 1/2" x 48" over a 6" x 6" x 48" inner, so it slides over the inner box and adjusts to your item's length.
Can I get a size you do not stock?
Yes. We make custom corrugated boxes engineered to your exact inside dimensions. The minimum for a custom run is 100 pieces, with standard lead times of 7 to 14 business days.
How strong are these boxes?
Telescoping boxes are made from 200#/ECT-32 kraft corrugated with a full overlap bottom. If you need a heavier grade, ask about double wall 275#/ECT-48 or triple wall options.
